• Scientific name of 'Red River' Crabgrass is Digitaria Ciliaris. Commonly it is also known as hairy crabgrass.
• It is warm season annual grass developed by Noble Foundation of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
• The grass has super palatability, high protein content relative to nitrogen inputs, and relatively high digestibility which makes it excellent for grazing as a high quality, leafy, fine stem hay.
• It is essentially a nontoxic forage and has excellent reseeding ability.
• Red River crabgrass can be used as single crop forage as well as a mixture in Sudangrass, Alfalfa, Bermudagrass, Perennial grass plantings and other summer forages.
