Real butterfly wings are used after their natural passing and turned into wearable art. They are acquired from butterfly farms worldwide and information cards are included to learn more. These wings are from the Blue Morpho butterfly and measures approximately 2"x3.5" each (measurement does not include the earring hooks - these are my largest pair of earrings available). The wings can be finished in a thick lamination (similar to the thickness of cardstock paper) or in jeweler's grade resin. The resin finish is considered higher quality and is approximately 1/8" thick with a glossier look. Both options are durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured. Finished wings are attached to hypoallergenic surgical steel earring hooks and two earring backs are included. Other earring hook options are available upon request.The wings are irridescent and change hue's of color at different angles! Please note that choosing the resin option will delay shipping.
